Jaguar XJR

1995, X300, manual gearbox, AJ16 engine, LPG fitted

I've had this car since July 2008. Several times, it looked like I was going to have to sell it, and each time it's not happened: I really love the sense of space, pace and grace that this car gives. A wonderful beast to drive - not at all like an automatic Jaguar, this has a completely different feel whilst retaining the refinement & comfort...

  • Jaguar XJR (X300 series).
  • 1995 (M Reg)
  • Metallic dark red with crème leather seats.
  • All the usual jaguar refinements: Space, Pace & Grace...
  • Manual gearbox, one of (I believe) only 98 every built. The newer V8 XJ's didn't have a manual box as an option, so this car really is as rare as rocking horse poo...
  • 4.0 supercharged 6 cylinder (AJ16) engine.
  • Stainless exhaust fitted (replaces manifolds and back section, breathes more freely than the original).
  • LPG fitted (running with no issues since Sept 2010, 15000 miles). Costs 18-20p/ml when running on LPG, equivalent to 35-40mpg on petrol.
  • LPG filler is discretely installed, on opposite side to petrol filler.
  • Substantial service record (incl all fuel filling data since I bought the car in 2008). Service record (in Excel format) available on link below.
  • Well maintained and good condition (see photos below).
  • Air Conditioning, Alarm, Immobiliser, Adjustable Steering Column, Cruise Control, Traction Control, ABS, Multiple Airbags, Electric Mirrors, Electric Windows, Power Steering, Electric Windows & Sunroof & Mirrors, Central Locking, bluetooth handsfree kit fitted (Parrot CK3100), probably missed a whole load more features, but it’s got all the normal Jaguar refinements.
  • 199400 miles (will go up as used regularly).

The exhaust system is a piece of art, particularly the new headers.

And a close up of the drivers seat - there is some wear on the door side lumbar. Not bad, but worth mentioning.
